Banana Mask.........

Part of my weight loss journey is also fulfilling my passion with beauty.  Women are beautiful creatures and I’m fascinated by style, beauty, and beauty products.  My Mother tells me I missed my calling as a makeup artist or hair beautician.  Many family members feel I enjoy beauty products a bit too much as I’m running around my home with banana’s on my face.

The peel of the banana holds amazing benefits from antioxidants, healing powers, natural oils and so much more!  Bananas are known to cover blemishes and have potential to help one look younger.  It’s truly an anti-aging mask!  Some like to add honey and sugar for a facial scrub.  I personally make it easy and use it directly after eating the banana; I directly place the inside of the peel on my face and rub the entire face.  If you are not able to use it immediately after opening, throw the peel in a zip lock baggie and refrigerate to use that evening.

Many foods have the ability to truly give a younger appearance.  More tricks THAT WORK to come!

Just came in from an AWESOME 60-minute power walk!  Feels good to start the day off right.  Motivated by the current weight loss I took advantage of the morning off work.  :)  I love adding up my exercise points with WW.  It was a beautiful morning to walk........this pic doesn't do the park behind me any justice, but I'm VERY fortunate to have a beautiful/huge park behind me.  Sixty minutes of giving praise, taking in how fortunate I am, and processing goals I have for myself.  ~ Feeling very fortunate today!~

Create NEW brain cells with exercise!

Did you know that exercise creates NEW brain cells and conditions current cells?  Amazing!  I remember growing up learning that once reached a certain age the brain cells stop producing.  WRONG- Science has now proven (in the 1990’s) that we can create new brain cells with exercise.  The studies were found in mice and then on humans.  I was so excited to learn this information that it helped motivate my increase for exercise.  I love meeting sharp and witty people- with some exercise we can all be sharp and witty. J  (PS- I did 60 minutes on the stationary bike today!)

A CUP OF CHERRIES GOES A LONG WAY......

My hubby is VERY picky with foods.  Poor guy’s pallet just does NOT agree with MANY foods that I take for granted.  Cherries are a super food that he can tolerate. I asked him to research the nutrition of cherries and to my surprise HE was even impressed, which is saying a lot!  I was amazed how nutritional cherries were and the amazing results they have to offer.

Cherries are LOADED with antioxidants, which fight diseases, help maintain youth, and fight free radicals which are dangerous to our bodies.  Antioxidants reduce dangerous inflammation.  Cherries hold over a whopping 4,000+ antioxidants (1cup!).  Cherries offer melatonin which helps with sleeping patterns and provide better brain function, relives pain from arthritis because of the anti inflammatory miracles they provide, and loaded with anthocyanins which protect the heart.

Needless to say, cherries are in season and we are buying them by the bag full.  This super food is ZERO points for Weight Watchers.  ENJOY SOME CHERRIES!

Today is another new beginning.  CONSISTENCY is the key that I'm holding to make this dream of being fit come true!

Today I rode the stationary bike for some morning exercise.  Once the room is available, I'll work on weights in about an hour.  I'm also walking at least a couple miles.

Lots of fresh water w/ lemon and HEALTHY choices.  I'm excited to work on my HEALTHY LIVING and become all I can be.

I'm grilling chicken to add to my HUGE salad.  I mixed a bunch of lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, celery, etc etc to have salad throughout the day.  My goal is to reduce inflammation with healthy veggies and fruits.  I'm educating myself about the offerings of fruits and vegetables.  For example I learned that cherries is significant for inflammation, memory, sleeping, and antioxidants.  Cherries will be a regular on our grocery list.
