Summer is here and a pretty skin tone is a MUST! Even if you already have color, balance your skin out with a pretty airbrush for a beautiful soft look. I LOVE a nice tan but hate the negative impact of the sun with aging and cancer. I've tried MANY lotions, gels, creams and even expensive spray tanning machines. I was shocked how well this airbrush spray works!
Sally Hanson has a spray called Salon Airbrush Legs (water resistant) that works really well for the entire body! When spraying this product, I highly encourage you to spray it in your hands and rub the solution on. I use it on my neck, chest, arms and legs. Make sure your skin is clean and hydrated with lotion or you may see dry spots. For an even look, I moisturize my skin with cocoa butter and then spray the solution in my hand and rub it in. After the solution dries, I follow it up with a powder bronzer (Physician's Formula) and lightly brush the powder on the airbrush area. This leaves SUCH a nice color and really evens out the skin tone.
The Airbrush Legs (medium glow) can be found for $11-$12 per can.
(Although I always see this on clearance at different stores and in fact
I received two unopened sprays FREE at a yard sale! It can be found at most discount department stores.
The Physicians Formula powder bronzer can be found for $12-$14 per compact. It also can be found at most discount department stores.
I LOVE THE RESULTS OF SUGAR SCRUBS (not to mention the $avings!)
I've been making home made scrubs for quite some time. The savings in costs from most skincare is amazing but the results are even better! The ingredients in scrubs are all natural and many times loaded with antioxidants, healing oils and scents that smell good enough to eat. Although sugar is not good for us on the inside, sugar works great as an exfoliate! I also use salts but today I'm just going to share a few sugar scrubs. Please note: ***The oil needs to be added to your liking. You may need more or less depending on the desired texture. Keep the scrub sealed tight with a lid after each use. The scrubs last for about 2-months unless contacted with water.
The first sugar scrub is raw HONEY sugar scrub (be sure to reap the benefits of using RAW honey only). Raw honey has a significant amount of antioxidants which can slow the aging process. Because honey is naturally antibacterial, this is perfect for acne and cleaning pores! I was amazed at the glow honey gave my face after using it. In-fact I highly recommend after exfoliating your skin with this scrub, place a layer of raw honey over your face for 30-minutes and you will instantly see benefits.

- 1/2 cup of pure cane sugar
- 1/3 cup of cup extra virgin olive oil (or use until the texture of your liking)
- 2 tablespoons of Raw honey
- 10-15 drops of essential lemon oil
- Few Drops of grape seed oil
This rose scrub is very classy with a lot of benefits! I love this one as I place dried rose petals in this scrub. I also add rosewater which reduces inflammation. Rosewater has a lot of health benefits to help with wrinkles, lines and especially good in the summer to hydrate skin. The scent is an instant stress reliever.
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup of cup extra virgin olive oil (or use until the texture of your liking)
- 1/4 tsp rosewater
- Rose Petals either fresh or dry (6 will be plenty)
THIS ONE IS ONLY FOR COFFEE LOVERS!
I absolutely love coffee! The smell is amazing but you have to
love coffee scent to try this! I was so excited when I learned
how beneficial coffee grounds are for the skin. Coffee is not only an
excellent exfoliate but also help with cellulite and saggy skin!
PERFECT BODY SCRUB! The antioxidants are amazing to help tone skin and
the caffeine is a stimulant that increases the circulation. I noticed
after using this body scrub it leaves a really pretty glow on the skin
too!
Watch how your skin literally glows after using this!
- 1/2 cup coffee grounds (use caffeine)
